Verglichen im Preis sind die 30 mm des Rolex Blattes hierunter auf TOP ART Niveau angekommen... weiter gehts in English ;)

The only watchsale at AQ in Geneva where many big collectors & dealers
where VERY interested in a gold Rolex with 1 of the 6 pieces order by
Rolex at Stern dial manufacture of the black emaille cloisonne showing
us North & South America.......

It finally fetched a price of Hammer Sfr 550.000,= making it Sfr. 700.000,= incl.
after a intens battle it went to a good friend!..Now compare the size of this dial
with the price of a Rembrandt, Renoir or Van Gogh and it's TOP $$ for 30mm of Rolex Art ;-)

Off course I went to Basel World to see new Rolex Heritage Design on 42 mm Explorer
'71 Orange Hand and the hommage to the '65 bakelite Daytona with new scratchproof bezel...

Here a part of their Press Release:

"With these new models, Rolex pursues the discreet evolution of its flagship products, enhancing them with its most recent technical and aesthetic innovations while drawing on its vast historical heritage. An endeavour perfectly illustrated by the new OYSTER PERPETUAL EXPLORER II model, which is cele- brating, in 2011, the 40th anniversary of its launch in 1971. This model, emblematic of the link between Rolex and exploration, and an essential instrument on numerous expeditions, showcases, in its 2011 version, a case enlarged to 42 mm and the new latest-generation Rolex movement, calibre 3187. On this new EXPLORER II, the characteristic 24-hour hand, with its arrow shape and orange colour, is directly inspired by the 1971 model. As an additional nod to the original EXPLORER II, on the black dial version, the “phantom-effect” hands seem to “float” over the dial thanks to their black base. It also appears, in a totally new way, in a black monobloc version on the spectacular new edition of the legendary OYSTER PERPETUAL COSMOGRAPH DAYTONA chronograph. On this model, the innova- tive bezel pays subtle homage to the historic 1965 model with the black bezel insert."

See you all in May at Christie's again, as from what I've seen Christie's before
I left, Christie's will definitly rock with ultra rare Rolex & Patek at their
important Watch auction on 16th May. Maybe I can show some previeuw scans the next
days as for now they are preparing the catalogue right now.

Looking forward to May Auction Weekend in Geneva,
Hope to see this year MORE collectors coming to
join us with their deep passion!

All the best!
Philipp
