Wordpress - wie kann ich eine Seite offline testen?

Mal eine Frage an die Wordpress-Speziaisten:

Kann ich OFFLINE eine Seite aufbauen, wenn ich noch keine Domain registriert habe und daher auch keine php- und Datenbankparameter habe? :grb:

Grund: Ich will ein wenig Themes ausprobieren, das für mich beste nehmen und anpassen, so dass dass es meinen Anforderungen genügt. Dazu muss ich aber die Templates auch mit Inhalt füllen und ich will nicht alle Arbeit doppelt machen. Also will ich dann die OFFLINE-Installation möglichst beschwerdefrei auf die dann vorhandene Domain spielen.

XAMPP kenne ich, aber da fehlen mir ja die Datenbankparameter, die ich in die Wordpress-Installationsdatei eingeben kann. Und dann stehen ja beim Überspielen die falschen Parameter drin. :grb:

Also, ihr Wordpress-Freaks. Geht das überhaupt und wenn ja - wie?

Installation hat geklappt, aber bei der Installation des Themes kommt:


Das Verzeichnis wp-content/uploads/2012/10 kann nicht angelegt werden. Ist das übergeordnete Verzeichnis durch den Server beschreibbar?

Jetzt habe ich das noch gefunden:


To get automatic updates of WordPress and installation/updates of plugins and widgets working do the following:

Make a note of your username e.g. ‘Daniel’.
Open /Applications/XAMPP/etc/httpd.conf as root/admin e.g. “sudo open -e ‘/Applications/XAMPP/etc/httpd.conf’” from terminal.
Find the following lines:
User nobody
Group admin
Change the lines to the following:
User <Your Username>
Group staf f
Save the file. Some people are having issues with TextEdit preventing edits to the file due to file ownership, there are two possible work arounds:
Use another text editor like vi to make the required edits the file: ”sudo vi ‘/Applications/XAMPP/etc/httpd.conf’”.
Use the chown command to change the file’s ownership: “sudo chown <Your Username> ‘/Applications/XAMPP/etc/httpd.conf’”.


:grb: funzt aber nicht, weil "Group" nur ein Argument hat und nicht "staf f". Arghhhh. :(
