Below are the first camera phone shots of the new Red Sub...I plan on taking LOTS more tonight when I get home... :D :D :D
The markers aren't as crispy white as I would have hoped for, but it's in darn good shape! :gut:

Here's it is next to the watch I was wearing before it arrived:

Initial thoughts: I won't lie - it's a bit of a let down. I was hoping to fall in love with it, but it definitely isn't love at first sight. At this point, I love the watch more for what it represents and its rarity, than I do as a piece I'm attracted to and will want to wear. The problem is, I got a VERY good deal on this watch, and could profit greatly if I sold it....so the temptation is great. I'm not going to make any quick decisions....the next step is to get it polished and cleaned up a bit.

Congratulations for this rare RedSub. :gut:
It is true, its condition may not be the best, but you show very well in your explanations that you knew what you were doing when you purchased this watch. ;)

Surely a nice one, but in my opinion this watch had a very hard life as a toolwaatch.....

Dear John,
I would say you should wait how it will look once a new bracelet, bezel insert and crystal is installed and after the watchmaker gave this beauty a makeover.
You WILL love it!
best regards,
Oliver
