Hi John,

I was in San Diego and on Coronado Island in 2000.

I remember that they charged me crossing the bridge because it was only me alone sitting in the car - is this still the case ?

Moreover I found it..hmmm...distracting that every few minutes military planes were flying over the beach since there is (was ?) an airbase but I agree - fantastic shots and nice hotel.

Couldn't you take photos while flying in the 2-seater ?

Greetings, Juergen

P.S.: when I look at this event and the promotion, I understand now why a can of Red Bull is THAT expensive

Juergen - there was no toll for crossing the bridge.

Unfortunately, I could not bring a camera...I even had to empty my pockets. HOWEVER, the plane did have a wing mounted camera, and a cockpit mounted one, and they did make a video. I may post some stills from this footage later on.

Makes me think about Breitling  :D

Haven't been to San Diego for more than 15 years now - funny, to take out the old albums - no digital pics back then ;)
