Not only did I leave these watches behind when I moved to the US from Germany. I left a complete package of a Sub 16800 behind as well, just don't have a photograph of it.
Some of you here have really wonderful collections. I am impressed.

Dear John,
looking at the picture of your current collection you posted on the first page of this thread I noticed that you still own that beautiful Red Sub.
I thought that you were going to let it go because you didn´t really catch the fever with tis watch.
On the other hand I remember you owning a white dial EXII - didn´t know you sold that one (it was your first Rolex, right)
But be it as it may....you have a really fascinating collection.
Best regards,
Oliver

I think this article will answer your querry:

In short, I'm on my 2nd Red Sub. :supercool:
The ExpII was my first NEW Rolex, though not my first. I sold it because it wasn't getting much wrist time after I bought my white dial Daytona.

Thanks my friend - I really wanted to get a new watch so I thought I´d go with the good old SubDate - and thanks to the engraved chapter ring, it has a slight touch of modernness.

she s from the 80ies , bought from an industrial diver -they were in charge at a powerstation .- the brand is Venus very likely the same brand as the legendary manufacturer of the old Venus calibres , this one powered with an ETA movmnt.I ts increase it s value that swiss watches were very very seldom behind the iron curtain you could fine doxa and iwc from the period before 2nd WW and russian ,DDR timekeepers but Swiss one just a couple .
