Greetings folks!

Just finished a new article on the vintage 1680 accessories I assembled for my red 1680 - just click on this link:

Maybe hunting for all goodies is a sport - but is this original ?
In my opinion this is not a complete package because it is "only"
a puzzle of pieces - but who can divide ???

Bt - nice watch - I like it !

That view is pretty obtuse....if you, for example laid the "original" triplock tag next to the one I purchased, could you tell the difference? :grb:

yes - thatīs the problem. you cant see the difference - but for me -
as a collector - it would have a bad taste .....
for a complete package in my eyes you buy the seller for a 100% ....

but - letīs enjoy the nice watch - I I know you do :gut:

Thomas,

A complete package is indeed priceless but also very hard to find. There's almost always something missing, a tag or anchor or whatever...

I personaly wound't mind buying 'a self completed' package as long as the goodies are 1) real Rolex and 2) from the same period as the watch.

Whenever you buy a vintage watch you will never know the origin of the goodies, so why have a bad taste? Who ensures you that if you find a 'complete package' it isn't completed by the seller or (previous) owner(s)? ...as said, you can't see the difference.

No one can, almost 40 years later... or can they? ;)

Cheers,
Remco

Nice package. In my eyes this package is 99% authentic, that 1% comes from the "self completed thing". But to be frankly, every package has it's own tiny faults which make it not 100%, so why bother instead of being happy :gut:
