The Explorer is one of my favorites ... 1016 and 114270 ...
We had a legendary thread about the watch in the German section of the forum - time to bring it up again

I really love the clean looks of the dial.

Hey,
here you go:
I used to have one, it was my first Rolex but I sold it in favor of the Sub which I thought felt better on the wrist. And I never looked back...
I do understand, though, that many people like the Explorer because of its clean looks. I´d love to see a new Explorer with a wider case (same diameter, though, more like the DJ-cases) and a real bracelet and clasp.
Take care-

It's indeed such a beauty...it was supposed to be my first Rolex, until I tried it. Unfortunately it looks ridiculous on my wrist ...bought a SD instead, oh well...Beste Grüße

Explorer I
It was my first Rolex and still one of my favorites, though I also have an Explorer II, white dial.
The first model is truly classic and historically significant. Some of the old Rolex print ads are great to read...I collect those too.
Yes it is not "big" but respectable in size for those of us who, as well put on another forum, have "regular" size wrists.
