Nice review, thank you for it.

As you wrote the 16613 represents the classic rolex style (not "old fashioned") and the colours really look much more beautiful.
To my point of view especially the Bezel colour could be improved. In comparison the black ceramic bezel of the GMTIIc looks much better.

I think I am old enough to prefer the older items and not to be fascinated of all the new stuff.

In case of the 16613 the new model is a step back excepting the clasp.
    Gruss, Bertram

Thanks for the interesting and informative comparison. The new Rolex may be technical better but the old Rolex has a far better design. I share your opinion.
    Kind regards

    Dear John,
gratulation. A comparison of high-quality content - like all your others. What is your opinion on the further development of the 16613? Winner or looser? I could get the old model with V-number. The last chance to get one

I honestly don't know....much will depend I think on the market acceptance and sales numbers on the 116613. If it doesn't sell well, it's possible we could see more changes in the 116613 to make it look more 16613 like. Or they might re-issue the 16613. I think these are pretty low probability outcomes though.

    That's essentially what I did...I purchased a Z 16613.
