Nice review, thank you for it.
As you wrote the 16613 represents the classic rolex style (not "old fashioned") and the colours really look much more beautiful.
To my point of view especially the Bezel colour could be improved. In comparison the black ceramic bezel of the GMTIIc looks much better.
I think I am old enough to prefer the older items and not to be fascinated of all the new stuff.
In case of the 16613 the new model is a step back excepting the clasp.Gruss, Bertram

Thanks for the interesting and informative comparison. The new Rolex may be technical better but the old Rolex has a far better design. I share your opinion.
